About A Place to Land
A calm, compassionate space in Ilkeston dedicated to helping you feel heard, supported, and grounded through life's most challenging moments.

Why I founded A Place to Land
I became a counsellor after experiencing first-hand the painful shortage of adequate support available to my own family in times of crisis. That journey sparked a deep commitment to ensure others do not have to struggle alone. I established A Place to Land to offer neurodiverse individuals, families, and anyone navigating overwhelming life events an authentic, reliable, and deeply empathetic environment.

An integrative, person-centred approach
As an integrative counsellor, I draw upon a variety of therapeutic modalities and practical tools tailored entirely to your unique circumstances. When you sit down with me, you can expect warmth, open-mindedness, and genuine ease. There is no rigid mould to fit into—we collaborate at your pace to find what truly supports your healing and personal growth.

A safe space without judgement
Taking the first step toward counselling can feel daunting, especially when coping with grief, depression, anxiety, or trauma. Having navigated complex life challenges myself, I offer a gentle and non-judgemental ear. No matter where you are in your life journey, you will find safety, acceptance, and a place to truly breathe.
"Walking into therapy felt overwhelming, but from our very first session I felt completely safe, understood, and finally able to catch my breath."
